Admission to BTech programs at NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte will be through the Common Entrance Test,

NUCAT (Nitte University Common Admission Test) 2022.

There will be no seat allotment through KCET or COMEDK effective from the academic year 2022-23.

  • GENERAL CATEGORY

    Candidates who have passed Class 12 in India, fall under the General category. General category students are required to appear for NUCAT 2022, for admission to engineering.

    Eligibility for NUCAT

    Candidates who have completed/appearing for Class 12 examination with Mathematics & Physics as compulsory subjects and any one of Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology with English as one of the languages of study, with not less than 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and any one of the optional subjects mentioned above, in Class 12. The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.

    Registration

    Candidates can register their application on apply.nitte.edu.in on or before 15th June 2022. The Information Bulletin containing the details of admission procedure through NUCAT will be sent to candidates after successful completion of their registration. NUCAT will be conducted through Remotely Proctored Online Mode from 24th to 27th June 2022.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Group 371

20% of the seats in each program is set aside for toppers in NUCAT. Scholarships up to 40% of the fee are awarded to toppers in NUCAT.

  • NRI/FOREIGN NATIONAL CATEGORY

    Candidates who are foreign nationals including Overseas Citizens of India or Candidates who have passed Class 12 outside India or Candidates sponsored by parents / blood relatives having NRI status fall under NRI/Foreign National category. The admission under NRI category will be based on inter-se merit considering the marks secured in PCM subjects in Class 12.

Nitte University Common Admission Test.

Aspirants for the Entrance Tests have to complete and submit the Online NUCAT 2022 registration form available at apply.nitte.edu.in

A non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) has to be paid through the payment gateway during online registration for NUCAT. The fee can be paid through Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / UPI Payment Modes.

The Test must be taken through a laptop/desktop as primary device. In addition, either a Tablet or a Smart phone must be used as secondary device as 3rd Eye. Both the devices must be connected to the internet throughout the exam. (See Section 7.1 in the information brochure for detailed information).

Any correction required in the application form, may be emailed to info@nitte.edu.in within 2 days of registration.

  • 40 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics sections i.e. a total of 120 questions of 1 mark each to be answered in 120 minutes
  • Syllabus will be equivalent to that of Class 11 & 12 CBSE / State Board curriculum

  • Twenty percent (20%) of the seats in each program / branch is set aside for candidates topping in NUCAT.
  • Admission with a scholarship up to 40% of the prescribed fee will be offered to the candidates for these 20% of seats, based on inter se merit.
  • All Government scholarships and Community based Organisations sponsored Scholarships can be availed, if eligible.

No. NUCAT is the only entrance test for admission at NMAMIT.

No. Besides General category, we have NRI category which is open to PIOs / Foreign Nationals / Students who have passed Class 12 abroad / Students who have passed Class 12 in India and are sponsored by NRI parents or blood relatives.

The dates, schedule and procedural details for counselling will be announced on the website nucat.nitte.edu.in on 2nd July 2022, along with the merit list.

Annual fee for the particular program has to be paid within the due date for confirmation of admission.

Students are required to report at the college for cancellation of seat & refund of fee.

  • A processing fee of Rs. 10,000/- will be deducted from the fee paid until 23rd July 2022.
  • 25% of the total fee paid will be deducted from 24th July until 31st July 2022.
  • 50% of the total fee paid will be deducted from 1st August until 15th August 2022.
  • No refund can be claimed after 15th August 2022.
