Admission Criteria
General Category
Candidates who are Indian nationals and have studied Class 12 in India, fall under the General category.
Inclusivity Category
Ten percent (10%) of the seats in each program / branch are reserved for students who have passed the qualifying examination (Class 12) in India, but outside the State of Karnataka.
General / Inclusivity category students are required to appear for NUCAT 2024, for admission to BTech program.
Candidates appearing for Class 12 examination are eligible to apply for NUCAT.
NRI Category
Candidates mentioned below are eligible for direct admission under NRI category based on marks secured in PCM subjects in Class 12.
Candidates who are Foreign Nationals / PIOs / Overseas Citizens of India- Candidates who have passed Class 12 outside India
- Candidates who have passed Class 12 in India, but sponsored by parents or blood relatives having NRI status.
Eligibility
Pass in Class 12 or equivalent examination with not less than 50% (40% for candidates belonging to reserved category) marks in aggregate in the optional subjects of Physics, Mathematics and any one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics, with English as one of the languages of study.
In addition to the basic eligibility criteria mentioned above, candidates should qualify in the Nitte University Common Admission Test (NUCAT) 2024 for BTech.
Candidates appearing for Class 12 examination are eligible to apply for NUCAT. However, he/she should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
* Candidates may note that there will be no seat allotment through KCET or COMEDK.
